The Bulletin is a weekly publication distributed in Brazoria County every Tuesday. We are a free publication that informs and entertains you with each issue.

The Bulletin is the only free publication in our area with a national newswires service, a cartoon service, independent features as well as local news, photos, and community events.

The Bulletin serves Brazoria County and is distributed at more than 300 locations. We are family-owned and operated and are in our 28th year of publishing.

Our paper can also be viewed online for free. We are a weekly newspaper, so when you advertise with us, your business stays visible all week. Your ads are surrounded by interesting stories and features that keep readers on the page. This increases the period of time your advertisement is viewed by readers. 
 

 

THE STORY

 

John worked for the Bay City Tribune, The Victoria Advocate, The Facts, and The Houston Chronicle. his longest career was with The Houston Chronicle, where he won one of the biggest awards in the history of The Houston Chronicle.

He always wanted to start his own paper, so in 1994, John and his wife Sharon started The Bulletin. After twelve years with The Chronicle, John resigned from The Chronicle and became emersed full-time in The Bulletin’s publication. That was in February 1995. The Bulletin’s first issue appeared on July 4, 1994.
